REZ REFUGE MINISTRIES MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission objective is four-fold.
Our first objective is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ on the Navajo Indian Reservation.
Our second objective is to create tools and services to help the less fortunate get back on their feet and start a more productive, joyful lifestyle through Christian resources, counseling and assistance.
Our third objective is to provide positive alternatives to drugs, alcohol, gangs, and other destructive behaviors.
Our fourth objective is to demonstrate compassion for the sake of compassion. We believe in following Christ's example in helping others, not for personal gain or attention, but because they are a child of Christ.
REZ REFUGE MINISTRIES VISION STATEMENT
We are committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Navajo community of Fort Defiance, Arizona. Here,we imagine the creation of tools and services to help the less fortunate get back on their feet and start a more productive, joyful lifestyle. We envision a Navajo community of individuals and families living in spiritual, mental, physical, and social harmony. This beauty is realized through communilty participation and community responsibility.
YOUTH CENTER MISSION STATEMENT
The Youth Center exists to foster spiritual, mental, physical, and social harmony through the development of alternatives to drugs, alcohol, gangs, and other destructive bahaviors. The Youth Center and its staff strive to practice compassion for the sake of compassion.
YOUTH CENTER GOALS
1. Foster spiritual harmony through church, Bible study, and small groups.
2. Foster mental harmony through counseling and mentoring services, family violence and suicide prevention programs, and education.
3. Foster physical harmony through wellness education, skating and biking programs, and the wilderness program.
4. Foster social harmony through being a space for family and community gatherings, and youth development activities.

Did you know? Hózhó is the Navajo teaching of maintaining or restoring beauty or a beautiful condition. This philosophy is much deeper than this however. It is the practice of maintaining balance or harmony in each of four areas of your life - Spirtual, Emotional, Physical, and Social.
