DONATIONS
As you know we are a non-profit organization dedicated improving lives of Native Americans on the Navajo Indian Reservation. We gladly accept and appreciate any and all donations.
Donations may be sent via check or money order. Donations are tax-deductible. 100% of your donations go directly to support Rez Refuge and its programs. Currently all staff and board members give of their time free of charge, so your donations go directly to support the Navajo and meet the monthly operating expenses of Rez Refuge. Please pay by check or money order to address above. Thank you!
Many of you have requested we set up a PayPal account. We have added this feature to our website. PayPal requires we use amount buttons for donations, which is why they are listed below. Simply click the amount or amounts you wish to donate and follow the PayPal links from there. Please keep in mind that PayPal keeps a portion of your donations to cover their handling expenses.
Your Donations At Work:
To our valued members and anonymous donors: We thank you sincerely. Your donations and volunteer efforts make a profound difference in the lives of many.
Until the community and youth center are complete, we are operate from our home. We provide a weekly meal and Bible study for up to 20 Navajo. We also provide a positive youth activity once per week. We have consulted with many and have arranged scholarships/donations to provide Christian education for several Navajo young people in the area. We have also arranged funding and transportation for those who need to enter crises or rehab centers. Our organization has raised funds and built a home for a local Navajo family with 10 children who were previously living in a very small, cold, shack.
At this moment our GREATEST NEED is funding to complete renovation on a youth center and church. To find out more about this effort, go to the "Building Project" page. So far we have raised over $91,831 for this project in donations and grants. The electrical wiring, plumbing, the framing have been completed. We started the stucco last week and it is almost complete. Through your generosity, we have raised 100% of our $50,000 in private funds goal. What does that mean? We will now receive a $50,000 matching grant. Why is this important? Because we must have the heating, air, and gas in before July 17, 2010 so our mission group from Woodland Community Church can do the dry wall. We will now meet this deadline. On June 22, 2010 we will also be able to start the Mural Project. Thank you so much for your generosity. God has used you to meet our tight schedule.
Sincerely,
All those working to make a difference

Did You Know? The Navajo never lived in these ruins! The Anasazi inhabited what is now Navajoland beginning about 2000 years ago. Once a thriving society, the Anasazi disappeared by 1300 AD. It is unknown what caused their disappearance, but it is believed that they are the ancestors of the modern Native Tribes such as the Zuni, Hopi, and Pueblo. You can find evidence of their vast culture in the canyons the crisscross Navajoland.
