Did You Know? The Navajo Code Talkers served this country during WWII in the Pacific Theater.  Their language was non-written and few non-Navajo spoke it at the onset of WWII.  Using Navajo as a code proved to be a more efficient means of coded communication than traditional encoding and decoding.  The Navajo code was never broken by the Japanese! It was not until  1968 that the "code talker" program was declassified by the United States Government.   Little known facts...some of the Code Talkers were only 14 years old when they went into the Marines!  The government did not have statistics on the average size of an 18-year-old Navajo male, so the young Navajo, eager to serve their country were able to pass for someone older!
