Shavonna
Rez Refuge Ministries in partnership with Pathways to Success attempts to provide improved educational opportunities for students living on the Navajo Indian Reservation. We cannot sponsor many, but each year we attempt to help those we can. The student must make passing grades and maintain passing grades to qualify for scholarships. The student must show an interest in bettering their educational opportunities and be in good standing in their community. This year, Pathways has provided Shavonna B. a scholarship to attend Rio Lindo Academy in Northern California. If you are interested in helping to sponsor this student as well please let us know. Shavonna will be working while attending school to help pay for her tuition, the family of Shavonna must also pay what they can. After Pathways, the family, and her work contributions are made, Shavonna will still owe about $2,500 to $3,500. If you are interested in helping to Rez Refuge sponsor this portion, please contact us or send a check or money order to the address above. Financial assistance is also needed to help bring Shavonna home a couple of times during the year.
