Short Term Mission Trips
Are you or your church looking for a mission project?
Trip opporitunities include home repair, tutoring, afterschool programs, vacation Bible schools and work at the youth center. Rez Refuge works with local agencies to ensure the home repair projects are a need and not just a luxury upgrade.
For the really adventurous, think about our Wilderness Program: Be a youth leader on one of our summer backpacking trips. We are particularly in need of physicians or nurses to go along "just in case"! Check out past trips by gong to the "Wilderness Page"

Extreme Home Makeover Rez Style! Seven different churches and volunteer groups built a home for a family of 10 children, two adults, and one grandma! The entire family had been living in a 16' x 20' room. A new, safer roomier home was built. A mission group brought out 5 sets of bunk beds to make the home complete!

We welcome mission groups of any denomination. For individuals, schools, or churches who are looking for an opportunity to serve others but don't want to leave the country. Navajoland provides an affordable trip and a great cultural experience. There are a large variety of projects that people of all ages and talents may get involved in.
We are seeking groups who want to establish and maintain a sustained relationship with the people of the Navajo Nation. The ideal model is forming a relationship through a partnership of repeated trips and spiritual support throughout the year
Trips to Navajoland provide opportunities to learn the culture and interact with the Dine' (Navajo) people. While here, we attempt to provide your group with cultural experiences such as pow wows, traditional speakers, Navajo Christian speakers, and hiking trips.
Many times mission groups want to come to Navajoland and just help out. Ideally, groups should come with either the supplies or financial support necessary to complete a project. Churches and families typically don't have the financial rescources to do a project, which is why a home or church is in disrepair already
If you would like to set up a trip to Navajoland and don't know how, please contact us. We will match your mission, goals, and strengths with needs in the area.
