Rez Refuge Ministries, Inc.

Welcome! Rez Refuge Ministries is a 501 (c) 3 nondenominational Christian ministry dedicated to assisting Native Americans living in Fort Defiance, Arizona on the Navajo Indian Reservation (Navajo Nation).

We also share Christ by providing resourcs for those with addictions and by being a  source of "refuge" for those who need guidance and friendship. Many of those we have helped have been able to get back on their feet and start their lives anew. We are also dedicated to aiding the community through service projects.

100% of your tax-deductable donations go directly to programs, outreach projects, and building improvements. Your donations will be used to help change the lives of Native Americans in our community and Navajo Nation.

Did you Know?  Navajoland is the largest of all the Tribal Lands in the United States and is bigger than 10 of the 50 states!  The size of West Virginia, it covers 27,000 square miles and is located in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.  Navajoland is home to over 300,000 Navajo.  Navajoland isn't barren desert as many might think. Instead this high desert land, with mountains, streams, lakes, and deep canyons, contains some of the world's most beautiful scenery.

Since our establishment in 2007, we have constructed and now operate a youth/community center in Rio Peurco Acres, working primarily with youth and teens who live in this gang influenced neighborhood. We are dedicated to seeing families come together with their children, resulting in a peaceful community. Our youth center is a place of gathering and learning. We provide counseling services, teen after school activities, a wilderness program, Bible  studies if desired, classes to teach work
related skills, and a place of "Refuge." We have a special place in our hearts for the "skaters and bikers" in this neighborhood and reach out to them to help make them leaders in their community.
